Requirements for the front and rear piping of the steam flow meter

1. Front pipeline requirements:

1. Length of straight pipe section: In front of the steam flow meter, there needs to be a long enough straight pipe section to maintain the stability and uniformity of the fluid. In general, the length of the straight section in front should be 5 times the diameter of the fluid before entering the flow meter, or at least 1.5 meters, to obtain the best flow performance. If possible, avoid installing valves, elbows, and other equipment that affects flow.

2. Steam dryer: The moisture in the steam will have a great impact on the measurement results of the steam flow meter. Therefore, a steam dryer should be installed in front of the flow meter to reduce the moisture content in the retention fluid to *low.

3. Filter: A filter should be installed in the front pipe to remove suspended particulate matter and impurities in the steam. These impurities may cause blockage and damage to the steam flow meter, affecting the performance of the measurement.
